26th and 27th May 2016
The I3F Chair devoted to Engineering and Innovation Frugales organized its first hackathon at Telecom ParisTech on 26 and 27 May 2016 on connected food and agriculture. 35 students from Paris-Saclay University, Agro ParisTech, Telecom ParisTech, IOGS, ENSCI and Strate, divided into four teams, worked on very concrete solutions, thanks in particular to the FabNum of Télécom ParisTech. The stakes consisted in designing innovative and frugal devices on the following four themes: Fight against food waste - Food conservation - Valorisation of vegetable proteins - Exchange of opinions on local food products. The hackathon has made it possible to associate different universes, the digital one with Télécom ParisTech and the IOGS (Institute of Optics Graduate School), the life sciences with Agro ParisTech and the design, with the ENSCI Superior industrial creation) and Strate College. The projects were supported by a jury of professionals and scientists, including Ivan Le Mintier of the Paris-Saclay University, co-founder of the I3F Chair and speakers from the SES department at Telecom ParisTech, including Valérie Fernandez, Scientific Director of The I3F chair.
